Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your initial visit is a comprehensive assessment. We’ll review your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, and any relevant lab work. The goal is to understand patterns rather than rush to conclusions. You’ll leave with clear next steps and a personalized treatment plan.

This varies depending on your concerns and goals. Some patients come for short-term support or a health reset, while others choose ongoing care for optimization and preventive health. We’ll discuss recommendations openly and adjust as needed.

  • Naturopathic doctors are licensed primary care providers in BC trained in biomedical sciences, diagnostics, and evidence-informed natural therapies. Our focus is on prevention, addressing root contributors to illness, and supporting the body’s ability to heal and regulate itself.

As a naturopathic doctor with prescriptive authority, I can prescribe medications when appropriate and integrate them alongside naturopathic therapies.

  • I integrate therapies like acupuncture, cold laser, IV nutrient therapy, and IM injections, alongside traditional naturopathic care and, when needed, prescriptive authority. I will also incorporate non-invasive focused physical examinations and orthopaedic assessments when necessary.

Health is a journey, not a quick fix, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

  • Many extended health plans cover naturopathic doctor visits. Coverage for acupuncture, IV therapy, and injections varies by plan. I recommend checking with your provider directly.

Some examples of extended benefits providers I work with include:

    • Pacific Blue Cross

    • Telus Health (Manulife, Chambers of Commerce, etc)

    • Greenshield

    • Sunlife
